The 2024 Women’s Canadian Fast Pitch Championship was held in Blackfalds, AB – August 7 – 11.
Trudy Haroldson was the driving force behind bringing the tournament to Blackfalds, and she and her organizing committee and volunteers from Ladies League teams N. Jenson’s Bandits and Chaos are to be congratulated on the successful event.
Compliments were received from the out of province umpires, many of who work internationally, and Softball Canada staff who described it as one of the best run and organized national events they have seen, especially the opening ceremonies and the fact that the province’s premier attended (a first for the sport) and passed out individual awards prior to playoff Sunday.
Three members of CASUA were on the officiating crew, those being Erin Fuller, Chris Harper and Shane Sroka.
In addition other members of CASUA, including president Malcolm Murray and Jeremy Organ were working in umpire liaison capacities.
