Sit down and read this information on our website as it answers most of the questions about getting started.

Then follow this registration process

  • Register with the association Each umpire needs to have a separate email address
  • Pick your clinic
  • Use the Alberta Softball Umpire’s Association (ASUA) RAMP system to register with the province
  • If you are / or will be 18 years of age this year then you need to undergo a criminal record check (CRC) in order to work with youth. All adults are required to get the check from your local police, and the check is good for a five year period. To get the check please see this link

    If you have completed a CRC check (or have a CRC from a different sport), go back to the provincial RAMP system and update the record check information.

I Umpired for CASUA Last Year

All adults are required to get a Criminal Record Check (CRC) from your local police, and the check is good for a five year period. Choose from the options below

  • If the CRC is still valid, no action is required.
  • If your criminal record check has expired (more than 5 years old) you will need to renew it.
  • * If you are / or will be 18 years of age this year then you need to also need a criminal record check (CRC)

If you have completed a CRC check (or have a CRC from a different sport), go back to the provincial RAMP system and update the record check information.

 

New umpires and those entering their 2nd and 3rd year of umpiring you must complete this online theory session prior to the clinic that you can do at your own pace.

For fourth year and up umpires an online session will become available at a later point in time.
