Below is the current play-off schedule for events scheduled in the CASUA zone.
Softball Rulebooks & Handbook – 2024 – 2025
The rulebook is updated every two years, with CASUA umpires receiving the new book at the clinics.
Should anyone wish to use the online version, it is available for $10.00 allowing you to quickly find rules and explanations using the search command on your browser.

2026 Women’s Canadian Fast Pitch Championship
The Red Deer Ladies Fastball Association has been awarded the 2026 Ladies Canadian Championship which will take place in Blackfalds.
Plate Conferences
Someone asked about plate conferences at the Penhold clinic. Here is a roadmap for holding the plate conference 5 minutes before the start of the game.
Softball Canada – Inclement Weather Procedure
In the event of inclement weather (thunderstorms) the new procedure is to suspend play once thunder is heard.
Play will resume 30 minutes after the last thunder was heard.
